This is Asma and Imroze Shubro bhai’s Boro Chacha, Dino Shafeek. He left house very early to pursue his acting dreams and later settled in England. He became famous after acting as Ali Nadim, a Pakistani character, in the popular British comedy television series ‘Mind Your Language’ in the late 1970s. He also played a role in the ‘It Ain't Half Hot Mum’ television series that was based on a concert party touring jungles of Myanmar and entertaining soldiers during World War II. He is one of the rare Bangladeshi actors who could make a name in international media in the 1970s. His comic timing and expressions in both Mind Your Language and It Ain't Half Hot Mum were priceless. Dino Shafeek took a Bachelor of Arts from Dhaka University in late 1940s. During that time, he was very active in amateur theater which was not appreciated in his rather conservative family.
